Lion, Okavango Delta, Botswana
Don't mess with me

Species: Lion | Location: Okavango Delta, Botswana

We had been following three young male lions who were tracking an older male lion in the bush, which according to our naturalist and tracker they were attempting to catch to kill and take over his territory. You really learn about lions in the bush by watching them in their natural environment. But the old male lion got away, so the three young lions stopped near our jeep and I took this picture of one of the male lions with his mouth open displaying his large cuspids and tongue outside his mouth making me realize how close we were to the lion who was not happy the old lion got away.
