Pelican glow
Species: Brown Pelican | Location: Anna Maria Island, Florida, USA
I was watching Pelicans and Gulls watching fisherman on a pier in southern Florida. There must have been plenty of fish because the Pelicans kept diving. It was late evening, and I saw this Pelican dive - and within a a few seconds, come up with a truly large fish. The Pelican's pouch was hanging, and sun was right behind him. Somehow it looked both weird (with all the veins) and beautiful. This is the photo I ended up with after burst of five shots.
