Lunchtime in the estuary

This photo was taken in October of last year in the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia. It is two juvenile grizzly bears with their mother (not pictured) preparing for winter by indulging in the salmon run. They would stir up dead fish off the bottom of the estuary and grab the carcasses with their hands. This was taken from a small boat we were floating in nearby.
