Pileated Woodpecker, Concord, MA, United States of America
Feed Me Now!

Species: Pileated Woodpecker | Location: Concord, MA, United States of America

Just as I was getting ready to leave my house one Sunday morning, a neighbor called to tell me that a baby pileated woodpecker was poking its head through a hole in the tree, waiting to be fed. I rushed down to her house, but of course it was gone by then. Then a few minutes later, 2 babies stuck out their heads! And the parent came to feed them. It was an amazing sight.
