2016 Wildlife Photo Contest

Great Horned Owlet, Fairbanks, Alaska, USA
Peek A Boo

Species: Great Horned Owlet | Location: Fairbanks, Alaska, USA

There was a group of three Great Horned Owlets that had just started the 'branching' stage of their development, they can't fly yet, so they hop around from branch to branch. I was taking images of one of them that was sitting on a spruce branch at about eye level, when I happened to glance up and see this guy peeking out at me.

About The Photographer

I've been an amateur photographer for twenty or so years. I really enjoy getting out into nature and working to put myself in a position to, hopefully!, get a good wildlife image.
