Great Blue Herons Nest Building

A male Great Blue Heron brings a stick to add to their nest to the female (on the right) who was waiting in the nest for him. The nest is in a cottonwood tree with the new spring leaves starting to come in.

I took pictures for a living in my career in x-ray and ultrasound. Now I take them for fun. Photography is a very enjoyable pastime for me. Wildlife is what I am drawn to the most. Colorado offers many opportunities for wildlife photography.
