Mama and Baby Giraffe Portrait
Species: Giraffe | Location: Serengeti (northern), Tanzania
Not far from Serengeti Migration Camp, we spotted a very young giraffe, umbilical cord still quite visible. Our guide estimated the baby to be about 3 weeks old. He just stared at us with great curiosity, standing fewer than 20 yards from our vehicle. In a short while, his mother joined him, and I liked having them together in the picture for scale. They look so sweet together.
