Lion Pride on Kopje
Species: Lions | Location: Serengeti (northern), Tanzania
We were fortunate to find a large beautiful pride of lions relaxing on top of a kopje not far from Serengeti Migration Camp. It was fascinating watching all the sizes and ages together snoozing and surveying the landscape from atop their collective perch. Another large male (brother?) was on the kopje on the other side, on a small shelf below where the others lay. They were seemingly at ease, allowing us to photograph them for quite some time.
