Species: Polar Bear | Location: Churchill, Manitoba, Canada
I was on a polar bear safari West of the town of Churchill, Manitoba. On our very first day, we noticed this bear from our inflatable, swimming towards these rocks. He had noticed that we were trying to “catch up” with him, of course with a safe distance for him and us, and seemed to accelerate his motion until he finally clambered onto this rock, dripping whet, looking at us saying: I did it, I managed to get on the rock and am safe now. Try to get me. - We all loved watching this and a number of other bears in and out of the water. This image is my favorite by far.
