Species: Roseate Spoonbill | Location: Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Titusville, Florida, United States
Driving the Black Point Wildlife Drive located in the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge we noticed a few Roseate Spoonbills earlier on the drive and thought "what a bonus to still see these colorful birds this time of year." Normally they have migrated to more southern regions. As we turned the corner, far at the right of the refuge, we came upon about 30 of them, all splashing and bathing, preening and dancing. The composition of light, action and water-play made for some beautiful shots.
