Herring Gull with Spider Crab
Species: Herring Gull | Location: Fort De Soto, United States
While walking the beach at Fort De Soto Park in Pinellas County, FL, I observed a Herring Gull take a Spider Crab from the surf line. He later flew about 50-feet into the air and then dropped the crab onto the sand in order to kill it. He then consumed it on the beach.
