Round-Tailed Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma modestum), Conchas Lake State Park, NM, USA
Tiny Bundle of Reptilian Cuteness

Species: Round-Tailed Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma modestum) | Location: Conchas Lake State Park, NM, USA

Even if you don't like lizards, you have to admit that this one is cute; as a full-grown adult, this round-tailed horned lizard is approximately the size of a U.S. half dollar. He was found patiently waiting on the outskirts of a harvester ant mound, where he would quickly lap up any ant that made the mistake of venturing outside the colony.
