Leopard, Mala Mala Game Reserve, South Africa
Leopard In Hiding

Species: Leopard | Location: Mala Mala Game Reserve, South Africa

The driver and guide in our jeep were tracking this unknown young male leopard thru thick undergrowth. All of a sudden he decided to climb up onto a small hill to rest. He hunkered down on the top with not much more than his head showing, and decided to stay there indefinitely. We were with him for at least thirty minutes, so we started taking head shots of various views and expressions.

About The Photographer

Cropped lion cub at rest

My love of photography goes back to 2004, when I bought my first digital camera, a Canon. That year I went to Africa for the first time and fell in love with the continent. I have been there a total of six times, and I have never tired of the adventure you witness while on an African photo safari.
