Elephant Cresent of Suppport

Species: African Elephant | Location: Tanganire National Park, Tanzania, Africa

While on a Safari in Tanganire, Tanzania,Africa we observed the herd forming a cresent formation with a fwmale in the distance grieving for a dead elephant. It was a very special time to be with them and see the sophisticated behavior of these elepants. Respect for their loss of a loved one. Aparantly they stay with the deceased until it begins to decay, while some members of the herd bring straw to cover it.
