2016 Wildlife Photo Contest

Horse, Pilot Butte, WY, United States
Wild Horses

Species: Horse | Location: Pilot Butte, WY, United States

After spending a day at Flaming Gorge, we headed to Pilot Butte, WY to see if we could spot some wild horses. There was a ton of wild horse poop, but the horses themselves were elusive. I caught site of these two over a ridge and approached quietly enough to catch them on film (so to speak). They were so beautiful, it took my breath away!

About The Photographer

I'm a national parks girl. I've made it a mission to see them all. I am currently up to 40 and am adding the Channel Islands new month. I am not a great photographer because I get so excited when I see wildlife, I often forget to take pictures. I'm going to send along some of my favorite shots, though.
