Rattlesnake, Private property, Tucson, AZ, USA
Rattlesnake

Species: Rattlesnake | Location: Private property, Tucson, AZ, USA

This beauty was slithering through the front area of our property, here in Tucson, AZ. We have the occasional rattlesnake on our property, but this one was the largest we have seen. It was two to three feet long. I wasn't interested in measuring it :) I'm not sure if it was a Mojave or a Western Diamondback rattlesnake as they are too similar for me to differentiate. In any case it stayed around long enough for me to retrieve my camera, with a telephoto lens, of course and snap its picture.
