Round-tailed ground squirrel, Desert Botanical Garden, United States
Sonoran Desert Critter

Species: Round-tailed ground squirrel | Location: Desert Botanical Garden, United States

In the Springtime, the Round-tailed Ground squirrel can be seen rather frequently. This animal digs many tunnels and will emerge during the early morning hours to forage for seeds. This ground squirrel had just come out from his underground burrow, which provided me with the opportunity to capture a photo.
