Great Hammerhead Shark (Sphyrna mokarran), Bimini, Bahamas
Blue-Eyed Beauty

Species: Great Hammerhead Shark (Sphyrna mokarran) | Location: Bimini, Bahamas

A large female great hammerhead shark glides just over the sea floor in the waters off of Bimini, Bahamas. Hammerhead sharks tend to congregate near Bimini in the winter months. They use their oddly-shaped flat heads to push through the sand searching for stingrays, one of their favorite foods.
