Polar Bear, Churchill Manitoba, Canada
Arctic Play Time

Species: Polar Bear | Location: Churchill Manitoba, Canada

With the effects of global warming quickly becoming a big issue in the arctic, sadly these polar bears could become extinct before we know it. Polar bears come to Churchill, Manitoba and wait for the Hudson Bay to freeze over so they can walk out onto the ice to hunt for their favorite food, seals. With the ice melting faster and faster each year, these bears have less and less chance of being able to store enough calories to sustain their arctic lifestyle. These adult male bears are having fun killing time and practice sparring with other male bears in the area. Its important for them to practice as it becomes essential come mating season. It was amazing to witness not only these 2 bears but a total of 4 male bears taking turns sparring with each other.
