Bison, Yellowstone National Park, United States
Bison Jumping

Species: Bison | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States

We had pulled off the road in Yellowstone to allow some bison to pass by and this particular animal had been "spooked" by some other cars. He had run down a hill just ahead of our vans. I was standing on the seat in our van, looking out of the roof opening with my camera when he came leaping up the slope right in front of us. I was able to get several images of him, including this one with his front hooves still in the air.

About The Photographer

I've been doing serious photography for about 15 years, mainly nature photography. This includes landscapes, flowers, animals and abstracts using water and motion. I travel quite a bit and always have my camera with me!
