Llama, Machu Picchu, Peru
Strolling Cria

Species: Llama | Location: Machu Picchu, Peru

A baby llama (cria) strolls high above the ruins of Machu Picchu (Peru). The mountain in the foreground is known as Huayna Picchu. Machu Picchu is the name of the mountain in the opposite direction. Machu Picchu is a Quechua term meaning "old peak". The actual name of the city has been lost to history. It is not known what the ancient Incas called this place.
