Teenage Elephants in a Pushing Contest

Species: Elephant | Location: Mashatu Game Reserve, Botswana

There was a large herd of elephants on the river bank. These two teenagers were engaged in a shoving match, to determine pecking order. They pushed so hard that they both fell down in exhaustion in the soft sand of the river bank, then recovered, stood up and resumed their contest. The elephant on the left eventually won the battle and chased off his rival.
