Protective Leopardess
Species: Leopard | Location: Greater Kruger, South Africa
We found this leopardess just off the trail on our way back to the lodge while visiting South Africa. Unlike the rest of the wildlife that we had encountered, she seemed rather agitated. Unbeknownst to us, we had managed to come right between her and her cub. After a few growls and snarls, she crossed the trail, met up with her cub, and they went about their business!
