Rude Awakening
Species: Polar Bear | Location: Eastern Coast north of Scoresby Sund, Greenland
We came upon this polar bear sleeping on the ice flows off the eastern coast of Greenland. When it awoke, it was quite startled by our presence and made a quick retreat over the ice shortly after this shot. This was a very healthy looking bear.
