I became interested in photography in my early twenties. Over the years I have been lucky enough to be in the right spot. Other times I just made the right decision to get a good shot. I live in Redding CA and I was sure I would see bear in the nearby mountains. I was wrong. So in 2003 My friends and I took a 34 ft. motorhome to Alaska and I was so happy to see Grizzlys walking along the highway. Then we went on a plane/boat tour and went to a cove (name does not come to me right now) and we all fished. That is until the bear came out to feed on the salmon!! I can not explain to you the feelings I had after putting down my fishing pole and picking up muy camera! I finally found BEAR!
Since that time I have gone birding with a dear friend and she remembers the names of the birds and I take pictures of the birds. We have hiked and backpacked many times and nature has been good to Redding California. Just an hour or two away and we have mother nature everywhere. And I mean beautiful mother nature. We go to different places and I take pictures. It's a great life.
