2016 Wildlife Photo Contest

African elephant (Loxodonta africana), Chobe National Park, Botswana
Golden Elephants

Species: African elephant (Loxodonta africana) | Location: Chobe National Park, Botswana

This herd of elephants was bathed in dust and a golden glow from the setting sun in Botswana's Chobe National Park. We had passed these elephants before sunset, but as we returned to camp, the light and dust appeared golden from the setting sun.

About The Photographer

Cropped at rhino post camp

I am a passionate amateur photographer who loves to travel the world with my cameras. I love Yellowstone National Park, Kenya and Botswana. I usually photograph wildlife and landscapes. All profits from photos sold on my website are donated to a scholarship fund to help deserving pasturalist students in Kenya who otherwise couldn't afford to attend high school.
