Grizzly Bear, Knight Inlet, Canada
A grizzly yoga session

Species: Grizzly Bear | Location: Knight Inlet, Canada

This female grizzly bear was seen in the summer of 2015. She was without cubs and quite obviously took advantage of that freedom. It was a scorching 25-30 degrees celcius in this Great Bear Rainforest estuary, and what better way for a fur-clad mammal to cool down than go for a soak and stretch!

About The Photographer

Edward Savage is a professional guide and naturalist based on Vancouver Island, BC and has worked in the adventure tourism industry since 2008.

Edward volunteers as a Board Member and Field Technician for the Brown Bear Research Network (BBRN) and travels to remote regions of the Great Bear Rainforest setting up camera trap systems to gather information about the coastal Grizzly Bear.

His career has put him in a unique position to spend countless hours in close proximity to British Columbia’s wildest animals. Understanding the behaviour of animals such as grizzlies, eagles, and killer whales, has offered him an interesting perspective on these creatures. Through photography, Eddy shows you the intimate moments of the natural world.

Inspired by nature and passionate about all things wild, Edward is delighted to display his favourite images for you to enjoy.
