Canada Goose, English Bay Beach, Vancouver, Canada
Not So Ugly Goose

Species: Canada Goose | Location: English Bay Beach, Vancouver, Canada

This unique goose was spotted early on a walk towards Stanley Park. It looked like it was showing signs of albinism but some research lead me to believe it is actually a condition known as leuscism. Leucism is a partial loss of pigmentation caused by a reduction in multiple pigments, not just melanin. This why the goose has some typical colouration across the eyes and wings.
