Photo Challenge: “Change of Seasons”

It’s been a few months since our last Photo Challenge, and we’re excited to be bringing it back for one of the most photogenic times of year.  Fall is upon us (well, in the Northern Hemisphere, at least!) and that means dramatic landscapes, animals entering their rutting season and/or preparing for winter, and of course those fantastic fall colors.

This month’s challenge is “Change of Seasons”

Make of it what you will…perhaps you capture the quintessential fall color photograph, or maybe a unique seasonal animal behavior, or what about something outside the box that symbolizes the end of summer to you?  Or, what about our friends in the southern hemisphere showing their take on change of seasons as spring approaches their way!?  These and more are all fair game and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.

As background, for each challenge we will give you a theme or a technique to work on as a guideline.  Perhaps the theme is “backyard photography” or maybe “using fast shutter speeds”.  Then, it’s up to you to get out there and show us what you’ve got!

Each time we announce our next month’s challenge, you’ll have a few weeks to submit your star photo example of the Challenge’s theme.  Once a winner is selected, they will get a featured post on The Natural Photographer, along with commentary as to why this photo was selected.  Our hope is that this will be a great learning process, using your great photos as examples of how to master various techniques.

Looking forward to seeing your entries!

The deadline is 11:59 PM MST on Wednesday, November 1st. On November 2nd we’ll begin reviewing the photos to select the winner!

This photo challenge is now closed. Check back soon for the next photo challenge to be posted on The Natural Photographer!
