Announcing Nat Hab’s 2024 Guest Photo Contest!

Are you ready to showcase your best travel photos and celebrate the beauty of the natural world? We’re thrilled to announce Natural Habitat Adventures’ 2024 Photo Contest, exclusively for our past guests! Whether you’ve captured the thrill of wildlife in action, breathtaking landscapes, or heartwarming moments with fellow travelers, this is your chance to share those unforgettable shots with our community.

Here are the Key Dates:

• Submission Period: October 1st – 31st, 2024
• Public Voting: November 1st – December 10th, 2024
• Winners Announcement: December 16th via Webinar

How It Works:

Starting October 1st, you can submit your favorite photos from any Natural Habitat Adventures trip you’ve been on. To be eligible, the photographs must have been taken by the entrant on a Nat Hab trip, and each guest may submit up to five photos, taken with any digital camera, including cell phones.

From all the entries, 6 winning photographs will be chosen as part of two different categories; Experts’ Choice and Peoples’ Choice. For Experts’ Choice, a panel of 5 accomplished photographers, including myself, will review all submissions and award 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place based on the photographic merit of each image.

For Peoples’ Choice, the public will have the chance to vote daily on their favorite photos from November 1st through December 10th. With daily voting, your best chance of winning this category will be by sharing this contest far and wide, so they can vote for your entry daily! Not only will your photos be seen by fellow nature lovers, but you’ll also be part of an exciting competition to choose the winner.

Prizes:

You’ll of course win bragging rights, but there are pretty substantial prizes for the top 6 photographs and a special drawing for anyone who votes in the Peoples’ Choice category.

• Three Experts’ Choice winners: 1st place wins $5,000 in trip credits, 2nd place wins $3,000 in trip credits, 3rd place wins $1,000 in trip credits.
• Three Peoples’ Choice winners: 1st place wins $5,000 in trip credits, 2nd place wins $3,000 in trip credits, 3rd place wins $1,000 in trip credits.
• People’s Choice is voted by the public, and each vote enters a drawing for a chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card or a $500 donation to WWF (winner’s choice).

Submission Ideas:

Whether it’s a majestic bear roaming the Alaskan wilderness, the magic of an African safari at sunrise, or a memorable adventure kayaking through pristine waters, we want to see it! Perhaps you went on an expedition to Churchill, MB to see the polar bears and snapped a portrait of arctic royalty like this photo below.

or you traveled Down Under and photographed the beautiful Australian coastline in places like Kangaroo Island.

Or caught an adventurous moment of fellow travelers while exploring the icy fjords of Greenland.

Whether you’re a seasoned wildlife photographer or simply love capturing the beauty around you, this contest is your opportunity to share your experiences and connect with our amazing community of explorers. We can’t wait to see the world through your lens!

The Winners:

The winners will be announced on December 16th 2024, during a special webinar as part of our Daily Dose of Nature Series. The judges will take some time to celebrate all your stunning contributions and finally award the top prizes.
