I am a grandma who goes out and shoots wildlife everyday. My work has been published over and over again. But, I need to quit depending on the auto on my camera, and learn how to use all of its functions. Thanks very much for some very good information. This will really help me shoot Monarchs that are gathering in this area currently. I cant wait to try out different isos on the butterflies. I really want to capture the butterflies flying in the sunshine. I am thinking an iso of 1000 or 800. Theres a lot of sun light so I will experiment a bit. I don’t like any noise in my pics. so we will see. I am excited about this experiment. Thanks again Emily.
Wow!
Great article! I have been shooting for years and this is the first time anyone used butterflies as an example to shoot fast using the camera’s settings. I look forward to giving it a try!
