Mule Deer Buck in Velvet

My grandson and I went for a walk in the Porcupine Hills and came upon this mule deer buck in velvet. It was mid morning and the sun was shining beautifully on his velvet antlers. We snuck in quietly to 10 yards without being noticed by this majestic buck. It was a memorable experience with my grandson.

Three years ago I purchased a good camera and I have been enjoying doing outdoor photography. I especially enjoy wildlife photography. In my travels with work, I often see wildlife and now I enjoy capturing the moment.
