This is My Best Side

Species: Capybara | Location: The Pantanal, Brazil

Capybaras are the largest rodents in the world. I saw many of them this past October on my trip to the Pantanal - the wetlands of Brazil - but this guy was just begging to have his picture taken. It was as if he was saying, “This is my best side. Now you can take the photo!” Even though they are quite unattractive (dare I say ugly?), there is something engaging about the capybaras and one’s camera is drawn to them repeatedly.
