Short-eared Owl

Species: Short-eared Owl | Location: Galapagos Islands, Ecuador

Short-eared owl on Genovesa Island, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. An extremely lucky shot. This fellow flew up a ravine, landed ten feet from us, and posed for five minutes. The only photo treatment was a pass through Photoshop to sharpen the focus on the owl. Other than that the photo is straight out of the camera. This photo was taken on a trip to the Galapagos with Nat Hab.

I am not a professional photographer. However, even an average photographer can come up with a good photo or two when visiting a special place like the Galapagos. Thanks to Nat Hab for a wonderful trip!
