Species: Brown Bear & Raven | Location: Yellowstone National Park, United States

During a wonderful trip to Yellowstone, we stopped at West Yellowstone and visited the bear/wolf sanctuary. Here there are magnificent grizzlies that were rescued from being over humanized—caught visiting areas to steal food from us humans who are, in fact, visitors to their land. In doing so, they are at risk of being euthanized. This scene of the bear and raven, quite companionably standing together, just simply made me smile.

About The Photographer

I was born in England, and have lived and worked as a nurse in the USA for over 20 years now—I love both countries. Each has its own unique beauty from the quaint and lovely rolling hills of England and the beautiful coastline to the incredible, magnificent and diverse landscapes of the USA. My love of the wildlife photo opportunities keeps me travelling the USA with my camera bag on my shoulder.
