A silverback mountain gorilla sits among the trees in the rain forests of Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Natural Habitat guide Eric Rock has a talent for capturing intimate moments with wildlife on camera, like the pensive gaze of this gorilla.

Eric's illustrious career began in Alaska in 1989, where he worked as a field researcher on many of the state’s diverse animal species, including river otters, waterfowl, moose and reindeer.
