Riots of Natural Colours

Species: Blue-tailed Bee-eater | Location: Damodar River, Barddhaman, West Bengal, India

This species, like other bee-eaters, is a richly coloured, slender bird. It is predominantly green; its face has a narrow blue patch with a black eye stripe, and a yellow and brown throat; the tail is blue and the beak is black. It is strongly migratory, seen seasonally in much of peninsular India. During summer this bird is came in large flock in the river valley of Damodar to build nest in the banks.

I am an assistant professor in geography discipline which deals with human and its surrounding environment. Wildlife and colours of nature attracts me continuously all day.
