Just Hanging Around

Species: Fruit bat | Location: Jao Reserve, Botswana

We had a large population of fruit bats take up residence in the common areas of the camp in the Jao Reserve in Botswana. They liked to hang in the rafters of the taller structures and would periodically gracefully swoop out into the open. I love how they seemed to be peeping out at us from behind their folded wings.
