Baby and Mama Baboon

Species: Chacma Baboon | Location: Chobe National Park, Botswana

This baby chacma baboon was rough-housing with two little friends. They were tumbling and vocalizing, and having a grand time. All of a sudden mama came over and picked him up as if to say, "Calm down now!"  And you can see the result... He was protesting!

About The Photographer

I have been taking photographs since I was 17, and am basically self-taught. Back then with film cameras you had to make every shot count because it ran into big money! I've taken a few classes along the way. My preferred subject matter is wildlife and nature. Although I am still working full-time as a Public Health Educator, after I went to Africa a couple of years ago I have increased the time and quality of my photography adventures!
