I'm the King

Species: African Lion | Location: Eastern Serengeti, Tanzania

It was dusk after a rain storm in Tanzania. We had just left 10 female lions who were going hunting. They had been spotted by the herd of Wildebeest. So we drove up the "road" about a 1/4 mile when we spotted 4 male lions. This was the father with his 3 sons. The 3 sons roared at us for about 5 minutes from about 30 feet away. After being announced, the King came by us. I think they were going down to have dinner with the ladies. We drove by the same spot the next day and there were 3 carcasses, so they had a meal fit for a King.
