Elephant Seal Debates Sunrise Swim

Species: Elephant Seal | Location: Point Reyes National Seashore, United States of America

Arriving at Drake's Bay in Point Reyes National Seashore to photograph the sunrise, I found this large male elephant seal appearing to contemplate whether he should brave the chilly water for an early morning swim to find his breakfast. After watching him for about 10 minutes, he did finally venture into the water for a short period of time.
